The Friendship Circle enriches, inspires, and motivates teens

by helping them give of themselves to others.

Nothing makes children feel better about themselves than spending time with friends that

truly care about them. Through the Friendship Circle Volunteer Club, remarkable bonds are

forged between the children with special needs and their teenage "Friends". The volunteers'

commitment and willingness to give of their time gives us hope for the future, reminding us

that, despite what many people believe, today's young men and women are responsible

and caring.

In addition while our volunteers help others, they also have a lot of fun. The Friendship Circle

rewards their altruism with a vigorous, 'round the year program of exhilarating social outings,

incentives and activities just for them. The Volunteer Club began in 1995 with eight members

in Detroit MI. Today, more than 11,000 dedicated individuals in over 75 cities participate in

this wonderful undertaking.
