Dear Volunteer 'שי:
Just a few days ago, we celebrated Pesach, a Holiday filled with symbolism for kids and adults alike. One of the aspects focused on in the Haggada is the Ma Nishtana where we analyze the differences between the night of Pesach and all other nights of the year. Interestingly though, a couple paragraphs later we take a different approach as we read about the "Four Sons" and their various reactions to the night's differences. Though many people don't realize it, the questions of these sons are not rhetorical and do get answered and in a way that relates so well to the Friendship Circle and to all of us! Although, it is clear that the night of Pesach is quite different, each son seems to deal with this fact in his own way, by asking varying levels of questions, focusing on different aspects of the holiday's story.
The Haggada teaches us a wonderful lesson by answering each of the sons in a manner appropriate to his own situation and providing the necessary clarity for all to enjoy the Holiday of Pesach. you've helped us recognize each and every child's ability and enabled us to focus on providing them with the best friendships so that they too can benefit from the warmth of a great friend!
Hope you had a wonderful Pesach!
