Volunteer Recruitment Tips

Many high school students are interested in contributing to a community service project, whether it's for college credits, personal growth, or just the opportunity to give back. A lot of students however, are unsuccessful at finding a cause they are passionate about because they are unaware of the possibilities.

Some ideas of how to appeal to the student body at your school:

  • Word of mouth - through your friends
  • Post information on bulletin boards - use the many aspects of the Friendship Circle to appeal to fellow students.
  • Leave a folder with either brochures or general FC information inside for people to take home and review.
  • Try everyone's favorite website - "Facebook". Post on your network's board, or post a note and describe the impact that Friendship Circle has had on you and the many opportunities that this program offers. Lots of people will be able to read information about the program, and can post their questions on the note.
  • Check out this note on Dani's Facebook Page.
  • Get in touch with your school's charity groups. You can talk to the Key Club, or other charity organization on campus and pass on the word about the Friendship Circle. You will reach a lot of the students that you know are already interested in community service.
This is an amazing program, and the more people who participate, the greater our opportunities. No one should miss out on experiencing the Friendship Circle, so please, try out some of these tips at your school!
